From nomination to induction night

Nomination

National Federations, the Athletes’ Committee and World Triathlon committees put forward candidates for each of the three honours ahead of every edition.

Shortlist

The Hall of Fame selection committee reviews all nominations against the criteria and confirms a shortlist — in the inaugural edition, 25 candidates were shortlisted.

Selection

The committee selects up to three Elite Women, three Elite Men and three Lifetime Achievers. The Michel Gignoux Award is confirmed by the Executive Board.

Induction

The class is announced and celebrated at the Hall of Fame gala, traditionally held alongside the World Triathlon Championship Finals.
